Change the carrier ID in WM 6.5??

I know there were multiple ways of doing this in 6.1, but I cannot figure out how to change Sprint to custom text in 6.5. Has anyone figured this out, and if so, can you point me in the direction?

some people use qpst to change the carrier name, they say it works without any ramifications.
