Live Search won't locate me

I have a us cell HTC touch pro and for the life of me I can't get Live Search to notify me. I installed google maps and it works fine so I know that the GPS is working fine on the phone.

When I launch live search it keeps searching and eventually comes up with a pretty generic message that says something about not being able to locate me. I'm not sure if this is just a us cell problem or something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

try changing the gps settings to intermediate driver: launch livesearch/tap menu/tap settings/under region, there should be a gps setting with a drop down/choose intermediate driver/tap done/then exit.

hell, soft reset afterwards, then try again...HTH

Thanks. I've tried that in the past and just tried it again but it still doesn't work. It tries to locate me and eventually goes to an error of

"Sorry, we could not automatically detect your location. Your current location is home." Home appears to be wherever I manually type in.

Any other good GPS programs out there for a phone like this? I can use Google maps but would like something that would speak directions to me. I've seen the sprint nav software that's on their phones and that appears to be pretty good. Is there some 3rd party app I should be trying instead of Live Search?

+1 I can't get live search to work either. i get u to ten satellites on google maps though. i have alltel how bout u. would love an alternate gps mapping that i didn't have to pay.
