Can I send a text without using the touchscreen?
 

My touchscreen on my TP is broken. So I can type out texts using the keypad, but I am wondering if there is a hotkey to send a text. Thanks!

well on my phone the sprint version on the keyboard there is a TXT button just below the z key and next to the FN key. It brings up your txt msgs to your contacts. scroll down with the arrow keys and hit enter, then type your msg.

his problem isnt typing it out, its sending it. uhmmm i dont think there is a way IVE BEEN MESSING WITH THE KB BUT NOTHING.

sorry bud but i dont believe there is, but you can send texts from the sprint website. just login and go to online tools. will work until your new phone comes in.

his phone must work fine!... on the HTC Mogul you had the option for sending a text from the keyboard; not with the Touch Pro. Am I Correct? Same situation here.

get the mo2chem mod for setting your home button and back button to the soft keys that used to be the white dots on the mogul that should get you by till a new screen or new phone. http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/pos...iKeyboard.aspx

try ae button plus and remap one of the hard keys to do a double for sending. Easy fix. ae button plus has option to add keys to be mapped to other functions as well. Hope that helps im currently doing the same thing.
