Do anyone knows of an application that will allow my today screen to stay on when i slide my keyboard open, instead of changing to the home shortcut page?

What ROM are you using? WM 6.5 keeps the TF3d and 6.5 Home screen on when keyboard is up. Those are the only ones to my limited knowledge. (others will correct me)

That is a feature of TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila). You can flash any of the custom roms with it or install it your self here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493531
