Can't Activesync clicked "don't ask this again" box

My wife hit the "don't ask this again" on the screen that lets you select the ActiveSync, Disk Drive, or Internet Sharing.

Now I can't seem to get it to activesync. Anyone know how I can undo what she's done? I assume it's a registry setting but I can't seem to find anything.

I've searched but can't find an answer.

Start / Settings / Connections / USB to PC / Check the box that says "Ask me first about USB connection type when I..."

That's checked. Still defaulting to the internet sharing.

try rebooting phone and computer

So in that settings window you have ActiveSync and Ask Me First selected, but when you connect to your PC it still does not ask you, and automatically tethers?

Tried rebooting both...several times. I'm about to reflash the rom but there are things I would prefer to have synced first (calendar stuff).

after you reboot phone, is the settings in the USB to PC still checked on Activesync (Sync with Outlook) and the Ask me first checked?

If you go to start - settings - connections tab then select usb to pc, you should be able to check the option "ask me which usb connection type to use..."

This was already suggested and he already responded that he checked the box and it's still defaulting to internet sharing. I think something really wacky is going on. Sounds like he needs to hard reset. What do you think Ace?

By the way Dr., you can use Pim Backup to get your calendar stuff backed up before you reflash or hard reset.
