Notifications/Ringtones

...ok, I'm a retard, I've just figured out how to make ringtones from an MP3 file, but I am trying to make custom notifications, such as for when an email is received, missed call, voicemail, etc. Also, is there a way to differentiate a ringtone for a call that has caller id block vs. one that doesn't? Also, is there a way to assign a ring tone for a contact on your list that has caller id block? Any help is greatly appreciated, people at sprint store were nice but of no help!!! Thanks!!!](*,)

You might have a problem assigning those ringtones to your emails and text messages because the scroll down options wont list those ringtones. So what you need to do is copy the ringtones files and paste them under your "My Documents" folder (file explorer -> My Documents.

After you have done that, go back to the sounds and notifications and assign the tones there.

start - settings - sounds and notifications - advanced tab - notifications

There is where you can click on events and assign tones to all types of things. Hope this helped.

For custom text messages/email notifications, those files should be placed in the \Windows folder, not My Documents. Custom ringtones go in the ringtones folder as stated above.
