Preventing inadvertent phone calls.....

Hi there.
Just got a new Touch Pro, not my first choice but it was the best Sprint had to offer to us SERO customers.

Anyway, thanks to all the great posts on this forum I've made quite a few improvements to battery life and system performance, plus I've added a bunch more functionality. Now to my question...

I can't seem to figure out a good way to keep from accidentally calling people. This isn't the screen lock issue, I've installed S2U2 to help prevent pocket calls. My problem is that as I browse around on the various screens (People for example) I'll accidentally press a screen a little too long and it starts dialing a contact.

Is there an app, or an option to set that would prevent the phone from dialing without a confirmation? Any other suggestions?

Thanks

I'm not aware of a program, but i had that same problem when i first got a windows mobile phone. After a couple weeks though you get more and more used to how it works and it won't happen any more. Besides, if you hit the end button right away whenever you accidentally do it, then it will never connect and ring on the other end.

I'll do a little digging and see if i find a program real quick.

*EDIT* Sorry, didn't find anything. Maybe the suggestions below will help you out.

Re: Preventing inadvertent phone calls.....

As I pay more attention to what I'm doing I'm beginning to think that when I hold my phone I am actually putting my thumb on the talk button on the lower left of the phone. (Pretty stupid place for a talk button, and why didn't they make it GREEN like everyone else.

The ultimate would be a nag screen that said "Press to confirm call" every time it tried to dial.

Oh well, like razorloves said, I'll probably get used to it in time.

if you have the diamond tweak installed you can adjust the sensitivity there.

I've had my phone phone over 6 months now and I'm still having a problem with this! (it does happen less than it used to though)

For some reason, my phone does not seem to register right away when I touch the 'End' screen button, such that my 'accidental' dialings connect more often than I'd like - and show up as 'missed' calls on the other end.

Is there a tweak somewhere that I've overlooked to help this?
