Question/Concern regarding reflashing for warranty replacement
Hello;
So the touch screen component failed on my Touch Pro and the replacement came in the mail yesterday. I replaced the "Stock" ROM from the list stickied and the splash was Bell, then I switched to the xip rom Conflipper provided. When they, (whomever the may be) run their series of checks to determine warranty eligibility - they are going to see Conflippers name under current ROM correct? OR will they not test this? I am with Alltel and I want to make sure that when I ship back my phone I will not be denied a claim for breaking the warranty due to ROM replacement. Anyone have any experience with this process? I'd appreciate any guidance you can provide. |
Re: Question/Concern regarding reflashing for warranty replacement
You definitely flashed the wrong rom if you have a Bell splash screen and see Conflipper's name. There is only one stock alltel rom that you need to flash. Here's the link ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Users/ImC...RUU_dumped.rar After you flash it, it will look identical to stock alltel.
Also, you posted in the wrong place. Read this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65925 |
