wat gps software work on the pro?
 

just upgraded from the mogul to the touch and im wondering wat gps software works on the pro besides google maps and live . is there a gps like garmin or tom tom that actually say the name of the street ?? thanks

i use garmin xt and tomtom all the time..

I'm not sure about TT, but GarminXT DOES NOT say the name of the streets (although GarminXT is my favorite NAV software for PPC).

Look for the TTS feature if spoken street names are important to you.

I use iGo8, it works great and has TTS.

I have NAV/GPS units both ways, the GarminXT in my phone does not have TTS but the Garmin in-dash unit in my truck does have TTS.

I really don't see how it's that big a deal as either unit works just fine for turn by turn directions. Having the unit say, make the next right turn in 400' is actually just as good or better at times than having a TTS unit mispronounce the street name.... (which is clearly shown with a quick glance at the screen anyway)

Hey Gents,

Do you have links to the GPS software and will they work in South Africa? Is it Freeware?

I have seen Tom Tom but the damn program wont let me download maps for SA... :angry7:
