Annoying Battery Life

My phone is annoying as hell, but so damn addictive, I can't return it back to the store.

My PRIMARY complaint, is the the text message back lighting. Before, out of the box, the phone would just vibrate and play my text message tone, and not wake the phone. But now, the phone screen is turned on, my backlight is set to bright, and everytime I receive a text message, I get a Vibrate, Tone, and my screen stays on for like 2-3 mintues.

POCKET DIALING!

Sprint picture mail is not ending anything to anyone. "Sending Message <date> " has been in my inbox for the past 72 hours.

Please advise!!!

All of these issues are EASILY corrected by hanging out in this forum for a little while.

The Sprint MMS issue is a common one... And can be fixed by finding the Arcsoft Thread. I promise you after you do that, you will be VERY happy.

And the wake on SMS can also be corrected by using Diamond Tweak or Advanced Config.

Again... Just spend sometime hanging here, go in a couple of pages (things sometimes move fast around here) and you will have no problems loving your TP even more.

the ridiculous battery issues combined with the overall declining admiration of the TP in general are reasons why I went back to the Diamond. Hopefully the next TP will be worth it, although I see myself getting the Diamond 2.

Yeah backlight issues are easy like he said, if you can find the dialer that has the dialer curtain to protect from hangups or dials in the pocket. Spectres rom has it set up already. I use a program called AE button plus and routed one of my volume keys as close all and lock ,so when you put in in your pocket all ya have to do is tap the side buttons and no dials in the pocket. Look for the arcsoft sprint cab that works really well I have a sprint touch pro too.
