just got my alltel TP...help me get started!

Just went and got a Touch Pro!! I'm with alltel....I've had a motorola Q for what seems like ever. I'm wanting to start messing with the phone a lil bit...just small stuff to start off with (no new ROM's or anything yet...) like New homescreen (walpaper, background, whatever), cool software, just anything really...still exploring the factory stuff.
Can anyone offer up some good starter stuff for me? It would be much appriciated!

you mean the Verizon TP. Because Altel is with vzw now. Yea get googlemaps, live search, and deff. pim backup. It backs everything up on your sd card if you have it set right. It is a must. And just look on the site and like google things you might want.

+1 for above post, but I would recommend SPB Backup or Resco Backup as they will b/u your entire device (apps, reg settings,etc), not just PIM data. You should also get a good clean up app (MemMaid or SKTools) and a file manager, such as Total Commander

I'm using the new Windows Mobile 6.5 Copper v.1 rom on my Alltel TP.. Works well - but I noticed a lot of increase by changing the PagePool to 24 or 32meg rather than the way they have it at 16meg.

Just remember your Alltel TP is better than the Verizon TP.. better chipset and more memory. Hope you have fun with it! Mines been fun.

maybe im missing something but were is everybody getting win 6.5 ?

Ive seen millions of different roms, but nothing as a listening for 6.5

if it matters i have alltel touch pro
