PC doesn't recognize Touch Pro

I plug in my Verizon Touch Pro and it charges just fine but it doesn't make that connection sound and its not showing up in Device Manager.

Any help? Im running Vista 64

you need to uncheck Enable faster data sync
to do it go to
Start>Settings>connections>USB to PC> uncheck Enable faster data sync
if this doesnt help do a hard reset

i just had that problem and found out my sync cable had a short.

Hmmm this USB cord is brand new. Its made by Belkin though. Did you buy the one at Verizon Wireless?

has it worked before on that cord?
try a different cord
micro usb works too it doesnt have to be mini
also do a hard reset as that usually fixes it

no its never worked on the Belkin cord and my original one broke.

I just found another cord in my house and it works. Wow I wish I found this cord 3 weeks ago.
