Been charging for 10 hours and light still blinking

I just bought a new touch pro off craiglist and its been sitting on my desk since I got it yesterday and the light is still blinking. Im scared to turn it on because I dont want the battery life to suffer if its not fully charged the first time. What do you guys think? Is this phone messed up?

Re: Been charging for 10 hours and light still blinking

The light blinking means missed call, text, VM. Do not worry about battery you need to activate it and then let it charge. You need to call Sprint and make sure ESN is clean no outstanding bill to be paid.

you may need to let the battery completely die, so the phone can "calibrate" its charging

my experience says different. (although it's not really the battery, as it's the phone that needs to be "calibrated")
