Yep my 3rd ones keyboard stopped working all together today. I was so hopeful! I want to keep this phone so bad. Not sure what I am going to do. Just disappointed right now.

don't feel bad...i have #4 and unless a hard reset fixes my issues (no pie, wmp will not play certain songs, sometimes when i press camera it says not enough memory to launch camera) i will be hoping #5 will work!

hmm nice, I may have to give this a shot. I knew it had to be something simple but I didnt want to be the first to crack this thing open.

Yup, its rather straightforward. I opened up my TP today to do the LED mod, and it's not too bad. Just don't apply too much force. Use your nail when removing the keyboard, because you have more control.

awesome I used to modify my old Nextel phones all the time. I really hope that is all this problem is. I may look in to a more permanent fix with a soldering iron.

You might wanna check the service manual too, just to be careful. Before tearing it apart
