So, when did D/L's start to work in Opera Mini?

I've used Opera Mini for years and one of the downsides beside lack of flash and tabs was that downloads didn't work. I sort of forgot that I was using Opera Mini today and attempted to download a screen config app from XDA. Low and behold it worked and fast. So, when did d/l's in the jbed/Opera Mini combo start working and how did I miss the mention of it?

I've been using a different Opera Mini than the one you can download on the site. The downloads work, and it doesn't ask if you want to allow that MIDlet thing every time.

It had never worked, so I stopped trying a long time ago. I've been switching to Opera Mobile just to d/l....for nothing? ARGHHHH!
