HELP VERY DESPERATE HOURS of research
 

i still cannot accomplish the simple task of unlocking my touch pro, i have followed the numerous threads, with no success either from usb cable, or the sd card. It supposedly worked through the usb cable, but it didn't take more than a minute, and its not unlocked yet, as when i go to install mightyrom, it shows my stock rom, and will not install... HELP! about 9 hours of trying.. exhausted. would appreciate it... also does the fact i run vista x64 have anything to do with it?

also its a sprint touch pro

i have vista 64 on my comp as well. goto the microsoft website and download windows mobile device center and make sure you get the one for 64 bit. that was an issue that i had as well

Yup, I have the 64 bit vista here also. red's suggestion should solve your problem.

so you are saying that you are synching fine with the pc but the unlock doesn't work?

did you use the hardspl .37 version

after successfully synced, you should have no problem running the spl

yeah thats the exact version im doing, it all looks fine, but it jumps from 1 % to 100% in a few seconds, so its obvious the unlocking didnt work, and wen i runn the RUU again to install MIGHTYROM, it shows my current version as the stock ROM.

The flash for the unlock is a dummy flash. It doesn't actually flash anything to the device. The unlock actually happens BEFORE the flash. The flash can fail (and mine has before) and the device will still unlock.

It sounds like you already have it unlocked, and you're just working yourself up over nothing.

Edit: Have you ever looked at the bootloader to see if it says 0.37 CMONEX - just like the unlocking guide suggests?

hopefully that is the case, then why am i having an issue with mightyrom aborting after 1%? and i forget but how do i check to make sure its unlocked? ive read so much tonight my head hurts

i'm relatively new too, just thought it was st8 forward for me so I guess maybe there is a step missing.

What I did was:

Download

Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip
Unpack
Turn off screensaver and any power saving mode
sync
click on Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe
couple of nexts later, you should be unlocked
