Restoring SMS / Text Messages - Showing but NOT there!?
Okay so when I go over to the icon for text messages - I see all my recent messages in the Touch Flow. Now when I click on that message it doesn't show. Also, does NOT show in All Messages. The recent ones only show in Touch Flow.

WTF?

Did you flash to a different ROM? Generally it is not a great idea to restore backups of txt messages to a different ROM, you're inviting problems, kinda like the one your having.

You CAN restore txt backups through different ROMs. use pimbackup, and they all restore properly. FULL backups are not suggested to restore to diff ROMs...

yeah i did a full restore from a different rom.

so did I get all my information? like contacts and stuff if i used pim back up? i also saved the pim.vol file on my hard drive before hand. is that the safe bet?

also why showing up in touch flow but not regular?

You've got some funky things going on from the full restore. Try hard resetting and just restoring the contacts and messages.

okay i tried just doing my texts and contacts.

well looks like i got them all but it's not correct.

instead of:

(etc)

it's

me

hopefully it corrects future ones.

change it to classic mode, restore the texts, then change it back to threaded.

Go to start > Settings > System and Text Messaging there you can find the option you are looking for
