Re: typing is so slow

Try this and see if it works for you. Some people say it doesn't/didn't work and even though it's cooked into custom ROM's (like mine) it still does it. I tried this .cab and it worked for me. Test your texting speed before, install the .cab, wait a bit, soft reset, test text again and let us know how it worked for you.

Re: typing is so slow

I believe this is an inherent Windows texting problem. All ROM's & KB's do this to some extant, some worse than others.

I have tried every single tweak/fix/cab/ROM etc for this problem & not one has totally 100 % eliminated it.

Re: typing is so slow

By the way, my 20 year old son got rid of a TouchPro because of this problem.

He is one of the fastest typists I have ever seen using a T9 numberpad (it blows me away how fast he is) & he ended up selling a 6 week old TP & going back to an enV2 as it was so much better for pure texting & that is what he uses a cell phone for 99% of the time.........

Re: typing is so slow

there is a fix... you have to disable the new xt9 and use the old school windows word compleation thingy majigger... guaranteed it works because ive tried all the other and this one works... its just you dont get the bar on the bottom when xt9 turns on. you get the old school wm style fill in the blanks/complete recipients name.

i've been up for 30 hours so please excuse the discombobilated grammer but heres a link:

That certainly helps but it is definitely NOT a 100% cure to this problem.
