programs stop running when i lock phone

when i lock the phone when on charger or off programs like windows media stop running unless i have headphones plugged in. i like to listen to the radio using windows media when i go to bed and the backlight stays on causing all types of problems. for instance if i fall asleep then my phone dies even on charger and i have no alarm. also if i want to listen to music with out headphones and i dont have it on a charger i can save battery by turning the screen off. obviously it can have the backlight off and not shut down the program since it does when a head set is plugged in. someone please help me. thanks for what you can do.

Re: programs stop running when i lock phone

Personally, i think that you would be making alot better use of your phone if you either used headphones or a headphone jack attached to speakers. From my experience thats the easiest and least painful solution. Not to mention the fact that the speaker on the phone is junk compared to headphones.

Hi Gents

Solution for the TP (listning without the headphones) - Start the Windows Media Player through TF3D without being on charge - Screen will go out after the delay which you chose - then when the screen is out plug in the charger and voila! Charging with screen off while listning to your Fav tunes...

It sounds like you may have the lock disabled.

Make sure that if you use this method that you disable the phone locking after 5 minutes of being idle. Or in my case, S2U.

Re: programs stop running when i lock phone

or even simpler launch htorch turn the led light off followed by the backlight.. wala any program that plays music won't go to sleep and the phone will not completely lock. I say htorch bc everyone should have that app on thier phone already if not they need to put it on there asap.

Re: programs stop running when i lock phone

thanks for your suggestions so far but yes i do have my phone set for back light to turn off both on and off charger. while running windows media the back light will never go completely out even when off the charger and even when it dimmed i plugged my charger in and wouldnt you know it got bright as can be again. i really thought that might work but it didnt. oh and i do use the jack to listen through speakers when i can but at night or when im out jogging with my daugter i like to listen to music without head phones and plus at night i need it to charge so therefore taking my mini usb up. thanks for trying so far guys. i just figuered there had to be someone before that was having the problem im having.
