spare USB cable?
 

I seemed to have lost my USB cable for my TP.

can anyone point me in the right direction of finding a new one to purchase? all i'm getting in google searches are the regular mini usb cables that will obviously not work with the TP because of their shape.

Do you mean just for charging/syncing? Any regular to mini usb cable will work. The special connector is for the HTC addons, like headphones, video out, etc. I'm using a 10" mini usb cable on my desk that came with a memory card reader a few years ago. Works fine.

If you intend to use your phone in Diagnostic Mode(DMR) at all, or with the adapters as stated in the post above, this is the one you want. Otherwise yes, the regular mini usb will work. Also, some of the regular usb mini cables would not charge in my car, where the oem cable always will.

Nice thing about standardized inputs is that so many devices uses the same wires. I think I've gone through like a dozen mini USB cables just from random electronics I've bought over the years like several cameras, my old phones, card readers, etc. Now I can only find like 2, hahah.

lol i just got a car charger today and noticed the shape was a standard mini and thought..oh man I got the wrong one.. till i felt stupid when it worked lol... standard will work with touch pro..touch pros wont work with standard go figure lmao

Any mini USB cable will work just fine. I use mini cables that came with the ps3, my ti-89, hell even a nokia phone.
