Picture Mail Problem

I'm running a custom ROM and when I recieve picture mail I do not get a notification...but when I click on the thread (from previous back and forth messages) I get the new pics...but if there is no thread already then I am not able to get anything

I've also installed Arcsoft picture mail to send pictures but im not able to use that to view what I've received

and lastly, when i do try and send a picture mail message...the message stalls out saying that it's sending but never does!

is there anything I can do...I've looked for the picture mail update cab but i cant find it on sprint's software store
