OEM Car charger outpower power?

What's the output power for the OEM car charger for HTC touch?

V = 0.5V and I =~ 1A?

It will never charge at .5V, I think you mean 5v...

All my aftermarket lighter chargers are: 5v, (500mA or .5A)

I dont have one, but I am pretty sure there are some 5volt 1Amp car chargers out there

Here's the OEM car charger. I have one. It says it's "5V=2A" on the side of it.

I've attached pictures, so that you who might know more about these matters than me might discuss. I took the pictures with my Touch Pro, trying to get as good a shot of the text as possible. So there are 2 pics, because the light glare and roundness of the charger didn't make taking the pictures easy for an amateur like me.

When using nuePower to view how the car charger is performing, I've never seen it ever go above about 750mA, which is .75A. But perhaps the discharge might play a role in that, I've always got various things running.

Just because something is capable of providing 2A doesn't mean the device it's providing it to is going to take all of it
