My button lights don't turn off

I'm currently on MightMike's 4.15 ROM, but I've experienced this problem on other custom ROMs too. Basically, the backlight on the front four tactile buttons stay on even when I turn the backlight off on my Touch Pro. This doesn't happen all the time. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The way to turn off my button lights is to unlock my S2U2, press the home button a few times, then turn off my phone. This gets really annoying.

I have had the same issue with the standard sprint rom periodically and to get around it I have to unlock S2U2 and press the center button once as well. Have not found a way to solve the issue.

+1 for stock Sprint ROM. This happens often when the button lights are on and I flip the phone over (with Gyrator2 set to suspend the phone in that position). Sometimes they stay on for a few seconds, sometimes they stay on forever.

This is a known issue and I think everyone experiences this problem. It sucks because my lights stay on sometimes all night. When I wake up I will notice they are on.
