Allte Quick GPS issue....

I have recently had my phone switched with a brand new one from the store(not a refurb) and now I cant get my quick gps app to work and its a factory app! It says it downloads up to the 100% mark then connection failed please try again. Anyone else have this issue with a recent TP they got? Alltel says they will look into it but I have more faith in you guys. Just for the knowledge they opened a brand new one out the box and it had the same issue but they were able to find a customers there that did work. I beleive the app has something to do with my google maps not ever seeing any gps sattelites. Can someone please help me as I am sure they wont.

Re: Allte Quick GPS issue....

Just got a replacement from the Alltel store yesterday and am getting the same results. Can't remember for sure if the one I returned had problems or not. Hope they get it fixed soon.

I had this same problem...You have to go start, settings, phone then click services you should then see where it says location services click get settings and turn on the gps...for some reason alltel doesn't turn that on and none of the reps seem to know how. I replaced 2 phones before I found the answer on here...hope that helps...Phil

Re: Allte Quick GPS issue....

LOL was gonna post the same thing, figured it out this morning when I couldn't get TomTom to work. I'm running MightyRom and assumed it was already on though. After I turned on location settings and ran QuickGPS I had to soft reset before I could get TomTom to work, then it picked up sats w/in 3 seconds.
