Suggested Text bar wont go away

Hello,

I hard reset my stock verizon rom yeasterday to do a fresh install. This is a stock rom with no modifications. I changed the digital keyboard to "keyboard" and in Touch Input Options I unchecked all four options. I then went into the settings menu i went into input and unchecked all of the wond completion settings. This is driving me crazy because everytime I try and type something it comes up with this black bar where the typing occurs along with the actual field. Is there some way of getting rid of this stupid black bar that comes up? Before the hard reset i didnt have this. As a background info I let verizon do its normal provison setup as if it came from the store. Thanks for your help.

I dont see a t9 button. For the physical keyboard there is the period to the left and the left arrow on the right. For the digital keyboard there down arrow to the right and "\" to the left. I dont see a t9 button. What is the t9 button?

Re: Suggested Text bar wont go away

tap the arrow that is pointing up to the right of the little keyboard softkey directly in the bottom center of your screen... then select the 'full QWERTY' option. then next to the new keyboard that pops up hit the t9 button on the left of the spacebar.
