the cheapest way is to buy on under contract and get the insurance for it.... later on under the 30 days gurantee call the insurance department and tell them that the phone had been stolen and that you had reported it to us... but make sure you have the esn/meid and the model number... it will get replaced for 50$ and then activate the new one and back again and then return the phone and tell them you decided to not keep it.... just make sure you have both phones...and only return the one from the store not asurion..... their number is 1-888-881-2624

That is fraud and since the retail price of the phone is more than $500 it would be a class B felony. Not worth it, I am surprised you would offer a tip like this. Verizon knows who they sold the handset to via esn/meid and asurion knows what handset they replaced. Recommending a felony on this board should get you banned!

craigslist is really awesome for cheap stuff. I got a pretty decent Fender Strat off someone for 40$ using craigslist, retails for like 200+$, wasn't even stolen or anything and in good condition. It helped that I lived in a big college city though. Coincidentally I also bought a bike for 40$ on craigs off some guy who had it in his garage for like a decade hahah.
