SD Card decreases Program Memory!

I noticed that when I insert an SD card (tried it with 8GB Class 6 and 2GB Class 2) the TP's free Program Memory is decreased by about 10 MB. This hurts on Verizon's crippled TP...

With my previous device (TyTN, WM6) the insertion of an SD Card would only cost me about 1 MB.

Why does this happen and how can I turn it off or at least lower the usage of Program Memory by SD card??

Thanks for feedback and suggestions!

System: Verizon Touch Pro, WM6.1, VZ's standard ROM

Re: SD Card decreases Program Memory!

If IRC, it's one of the cache settings. Maybe glyphcache? Hopefully someone else will remember and tell you if it can be done on the Touch Pro - I used to tweak it on the 6700.

The problem is that if you do manage to reduce that value - your memory card access speed will diminish significantly. On my 6700, it often made the difference in being able to run certain programs off my memory card at all.
