Re: I think I've figured out how our screens get damaged...

i don't really like the case. the velcro doesn't work anymore, the phone falls out from time to time and the belt clip isn't all that secure

I use the case from the samsung instinct, great to keep in the pockets and comes with a spare stylus on the side.

Re: I think I've figured out how our screens get damaged...

You guys actually use that crap case the phone came with? I've never used any case a phone I bought came with, they all suck.

And I thought it was common knowledge to always place the screen TOWARDS your body... Especially if you just put the phone in your pocket. Why would you expose the screen to anything external? Your body will always be softer than whatever unexpected item decides to slam into it.

It's roughly been 24hrs of use. I'm ordering a better case immediately....
Here this will solve your problem.

Re: I think I've figured out how our screens get damaged...

I always put the screen face in, and that's what I think damaged my screen considering I noticed the damage less than 24 hours into owning the phone. On the inside of the OEM case, there is a plastic bump that forms the belt clip and I think that's what caused pressure damage on my (and maybe others) screen. It very well could have been there before it was even placed in the crappy OEM case. I'm using my the leather pouch I used for Mogul til I find something I like.

Re: I think I've figured out how our screens get damaged...

believe it or not putting the phone against your skin is the worst. i went thru 2 vogues this way. what happens is the sweat from your skin slowly but surely makes its way under the layers of the touchscreen, causing what looks like sticky spots that will eventually dry up but never do. all that happens is the spot with the moisture quits working after so long...i don't do this anymore and havent had any probs...but on the topic of the case....YES THE FACTORY TOUCH PRO CASE SUCKS!

Re: I think I've figured out how our screens get damaged...

case... nah i just keep mine in my pocket and have no problems. Im not a kid running around being stupid anymore, so its not like the phone will get destroyed in my pocket. Unlike if it were on my hip... Its more likely to get messed up that way.
And if you have THAT much sweat in your pocket, Id say jump on a treadmill and try losing some weight. lol I dont sweat 'inside' my pocket.
