Email hyper Link problem
Hey Guys,
I'm hoping someone has a quick fix for me regarding this email hyper link issue I am having. When I open up a email I have a blue highlighted link in the body of the email. It happens to be a string of 9 numbers that should lead me to another web page when clicked. When I tap the link with the stylus it tries to initiate a call, it assumes t-hat this string of numbers is a phone number. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Re: Email hyper Link problem
just drag across the screen to select the text and copy and paste it into your browser.

Re: Email hyper Link problem
I appreciate the feedback. That will work but I'm wondering why we simply cannot click the link. It works that way on all of the other devices we have.

Re: Email hyper Link problem
By other devices do you mean other WM devices or other platform devices?

Re: Email hyper Link problem
Sorry, I meant the other Touch pros that we have. Everything is pretty much standard out of the box... except I needed to change the default browser that the device uses to IE. I have made that change on all of our other touch pros and they seem to work without any problem what so ever. I have double checked the setting in the registry and I don't see anything suspect.

Re: Email hyper Link problem
It might be that switching the default browser did something to link recognition. I had switched to IE and then switched back to Opera and sometimes even though the links would be blue, it wouldn't start up Opera when I clicked them. I can't imagine how this phone is the only one that has the problem, so I imagine there's something else in play here. Sorry I can't help you more, hopefully someone else might have an answer.

Re: Email hyper Link problem
Actually, is it possible to change the default program that is used when you tap a quick link?
