Is there a stripped 6.5 rom?

Sprint just sent me a TP as an insurance replacement for my Titan. So many Roms and none I like.

I've always liked stripped down roms. I use to love JD's roms on my Vogue but his TP roms don't seem to be as stripped they use to be. On my Titan I had an early 6.5 that didn't have the honeycomb crap and that scrolling Today screen. Don't get me wrong, I like the finger scrolling but I want a Plain Jane Today screen. I know I can turn that stuff off but I would rather it not be phone at all if possible. Does any have a rom like I've described.

Thanks

JD's got one below...been running it for a few days and it's about the most usable 6.5 i've seen yet...daily duty without Titanium running is perfect! It's got the add-in's but the honeycomb works MUCH better than previous versions.

hey gedster.

Welcome to the touch pro forum! I actually had to use my titan over this weekend and I forgot how much I missed using the damn thing. Some of those hardware buttons will seriously be missed.

Anyway, congrats on the 'upgrade'.

I would honestly recommend Ivan's v1.9. It is very clean, and very fast; a lot faster than Mighty's and similar ROMs that are oft proclaimed here. You can disable tf3d by unchecking the TF3D plugin on your today screen options.

Ivan's black theme (sexy interface) can be found here:

Once you flash that guy, I would disable sensorlock by opening the sensorlock settings and unchecking everything. Also, if you choose to stick with TF3D, download the TF3DCONFIG program and remove the unnecessary pages to further speed things up.

Cheers man, lemme know how it goes.

JD is going to release a new ROM today or tomorrow probably, you probably want to wait for that. In the meantime check out DCD's ROM, 1.09. Either one of these guys ROM's will be for the most part stripped and run like a bat out of hell.

DCD's thread:

Any titan user remembers DCD....I will recommend his ROMS.

I've tried ROMs and kitchens from probably 8-10 different cooks in here and his are the best for me.

1. They are very clean (around 150 mg. available)
2. They are the quickest I've used
3. He has actual buttom mapping. (solved the Home button issue (which was a big one for me).

Definitely go for DCD if you want a great stripped down ROM.

NRGZ28's Energy rom is available in a Titanium package you could try too. The energy roms are fantastic though not really stripped down. Still very fast though.
