Is Seven (push mail) marking emails (gmail) read when you read them on the phone?

Just started using Seven to push my emails (gmail) and noticed that when I read them onmy phone, they don't show up as read later when I access my gmail on the computer. Previously when I set up the email accounts on my phone to be checked every 30 min or manually it would mark them read later on.

It does work for me and marks my gmail emails as read when I read them on my phone. However, it does not do it instantly but usually within a couple of minutes.

Is there a setting to leave a copy of the message on the server? If so I can't find it.

ya, it's not marking mine either, and i can't find the setting,
or is that just how push email works, that it doesn't do anything to the servers emails

it won't do anything until u update the server manually or have another email pushed to u

at least that's how it is with exchange server
