phone turns offf when i slide keyboard closed.
 

My phone is turning off when i slide the keyboard closed. I finish typing a txt and press send and close it and it doesnt send and turns off. Any help thanks in advanced.

my friend had the tp from att. the fuze....
his did that, also, he had to return the phone, they switched it out,,
phone was bad...

My phone was donid that too, until I realized my finger was touching the power button after I readjusted my hand before typing my text..

Backup all of your data (contacts, etc.) and then do a hard reset. Remember, a hard reset erases EVERYTHING!!! Before you restore from your backup determine if the problem still exists. If it does and you're not hitting the power button accidently, then return your phone.

i found this can happen with a slightly loose battery... are you by chance using anything but the stock battery?

IDK if this will help but I had the same issue on my Mogul. It was like the battery wasnt making good contact. I usually was able to make sure the battery was good and snug to resolve the issue. If the problem persists, go to the Sprint store..

oddly enough the battery caused the same problem in my mogul.

I just started having this problem as well. It does not seem to be a loose battery because the battery is tight and the phone does not shut off when I try to wiggle the battery.

Interestingly, if I give the phone a slight whack on its right side with my hand, it shuts off as well.
