How can i back up my IE bookmarks, contacts and text msgs?
 

I have a HTC touch pro with Verizon. Id like to back up my IE bookmarks, contacts and text msgs. I dont have outlook on my computer. Is there a way to do this either by copying files to my sd card or my computer?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For contacts and text messages just do a PIM backup.

Im sure this is a super noob question, but how do I do a PIM backup?

Download PIMBackup and unzip the file. Inside there is an .exe run that and its pretty straight forward. It should create a save file on your storage card. You can specify the location. To restore, just run the .exe again and select restore from the drop down box on the first page, then located your backup file.

You can even backup custom files such as PIE/Opera bookmarks by selecting the following when clicking on custom when backing up.

To save PIE bookmarks, they are stored in \Windows\Favorites. Just copy that entire folder.

To save opera bookmarks copy \Windows\Opera9\opera6.adr. This file contains your opera bookmarks
To save opera passwords \windows\opera9\cookies4.dat Your UN/PW for web sites
