Stylus Switch Broken?!

I got shot down at the sprint store - the phone is only 2 months old but they said I had to go through HTC for warranty repair (I don't have TEP)

I'll see what the hassle factor is for a warranty repair through HTC - I definitely think this is a design / manufacturing defect......

Take it to a sprint repair store,

The guys at mine took my phone apart, and just replaced the whole assembly which has the switch on it, took em about 30 minutes, and no charge...

Go to your sprint repair store, they should be able to swap out that part with something that they have on hand...

I would agree with the others above, find a repair store, I don't think you want to go a week without your TP while you ship it off to HTC.

I did go to a sprint store that has a repair store inside, but they said that they wouldn't do anything for me at the store since I didn't have TEP - I would have to go through HTC

Was this guy being a jerk? Should I try again at a different store?

No, he wasn't being a jerk. If you don't have TEP, why should he fix it for you? Try a different store and see if someone will fix it for you, it sounds like some people have been able to get it done without having TEP.
