Custom Sounds for Alarms
Is there an easy way to add an .mp3 file or .wav file as an option for the default htc alarm? Thanks.

You need to place it in the \Windows directory on your phone. This applies for any system event sound such as text messages, email etc.
I am not sure on the format though. I think that it will support .mp3 if not convert it to .wav

If I remember correctly, system alerts and alarms have to be a .wav and ringtones can be .wav or .mp3 files.

That sounds right. I have everything in .wav so I don't have to worry about it.
