QPST shows phone number on new phone?

Hi,

Just got a 'New' not 'Refurbished' phone from someone on ebay. When I ran QPST it showed a phone number! Does that mean that the phone is actually used or refurbished or is it some kind of service or programming number?

It's probably still programmed with his information. Did you try to make a call with it? Did you call Sprint and try to activate it?

Or just check the "Call Duration" tab of the Device Information.

Couldn't find a call duration tab. I already flashed to Verizon rom so is this info gone? The guy was selling like 20 of the TP's. Not sure where he got them but he said New and not Refurbished. I called the number I saw in QSPT and it said '...number not in service.'

I had the same situation. My Sprint TP was preprogrammed with a non-working sprint number. Even had some type of sprint email address, which when I googled came up as some landscaping business in Florida.

But from what I could tell, it's a brand new phone, never been used.
