Re: Touch Pro Backup Applications/Software
I feel like a noob asking this, but my keyboard is broken and I need to take this in for a replacement, but I want to backup my stuff (contacts, text, emails, etc) first. Now, I'm just your standard user nothing special, I just need a reliable basic Backup program, should I use HTCbackup or PIM, and can someone give me a rundown of how I do it? Is it a cab file i install on my memory card and that's where it saves everything or do I download it onto my PC and it stores the info like with the treo's palm desktop program?
Thank you in advance. |

Re: Touch Pro Backup Applications/Software
Dude we all started like you, not knowing much . So go to either spb back up/sprite/ or resco back website and dowload either the cab to your SD card and run it install to your memory card , AND THEN DO a back up. This is teh easier method in your case. Give it a shot and get back for more help if needed, dont hesitate....Also, you can use pimback up that RUNS FROM tHE TP , no need to install , it is an exe, Just copy to your memory card and run
Note: back up to your memory card (ther is an option for backing up to PC) Last edited by HBOOT; 05-18-2009 at 08:10 PM. |

Re: Touch Pro Backup Applications/Software
you know what a soft reset solves lots of prob , try that and do another back up. Volatile means lke temporary spot ike a log may be. Another way to do a light back up like you intend to do is: look under windows and locate file name PIM.VOL just copy that to your card. That is where your contacts reside....
