how to make an mp3 your sms ringtone

download your choice of mp3 to your device (internal memory suported) then copy the file, paste in another file, rename Alert-"whatever your song is" cut device/windows/paste, and it will be in your list of sounds.

for trimmed verz. trim mp3, save to ringtones folder, my device/my documents/my ringtones, repeat above steps... hope this helps

did u just post this, to let others know how to do this??

btw, setting it as alert, is not needed, alerts are .wav files anyways...

if this is ur tutorial for people, it can be easier..

find mp3>copy>goto my documents>goto my ringtones>paste mp3...DONE!

you dont need to rename a thing...

not sure the reason for this post, this is a very basic task

Actually this is just a waste of time, just save the trimmed MP3 or any MP3 to My Documents folder (not the ringtones folder in the my documents folder) on your device and you can use it as any of the ringtones without having to change names or anything

(I give credit to mightymike for posting this in one of the thousands of threads hes posted, thats where I learned this from)

Hey you guys why r u doing all this?
very easy just create a "My Documents" folder on your mem card then move all the music files you have in it and VOILA like magic you can see them all in ringtons ..... whatever. I like to keep my internal storage clean, it makes me (and it) feel good.

since this thread is about ringtones i guess...is it set up like tha touch when you have a lengthy ringtone for your text that it plays tha whole thing and not turn off till it plays out????

I have the CTU phone ring for my ringtone for my boss and the other executives in my company... lol
