No Data while calling

I've noticed that whenever I'm on the phone with someone, my data connection turns off. When I hang up, it's back. Is there any way to keep it on while calling?

No, other than via wifi. It's a limitation of the network technology.

Yep this is part of why we cannot yet do video calling on CDMA networks. Eventually I am assuming it will all be done through data (voip) which could alleviate this problem.

Sprint can do both both for whatever reason they have not enabled it to its current phones.
