Re: The real reason the left side rocker sticks up

The rocker for the volume buttons is worse IMO. Damn thing gets stuck down when you press it one way a bunch.

Re: The real reason the left side rocker sticks up

I exchanged my first Verizon Touch pro for this very issue, I believe it is also referred to as the raised home button defect. The second touch pro I received was better as the home button was actually flush like and not sticking up. However, on TP #2 I did notice that the keyboard feels as if it is a slightly different material used than on TP #1, but that's a whole other topic.

Re: The real reason the left side rocker sticks up

Hey, great to hear from some other people with my issue... I just called HTC yesterday to find out what I had to do to get it repaired. They said I'll have to send it to NY and it usually takes 2 weeks...

Have you had any luck fixing it yourself?

I fixed it on mine with epoxy. You will need to pull the offending section of the dpad up enough so you can get underneath it. Use something small and flat to apply the glue to where it should be sticking (this will be clear when you see underneath). Done. Just don't slop the glue all over or the pad won't work anymore... I held the pad down for about 30 seconds for it to set and then pushed all around the pad to make sure all of the buttons were working correctly. It's been fine ever since...

Hm. I want to fix mine, as my Telus dealer says it could be a couple weeks to send it back for warranty.

But DANG, i don't want to try pulling it up even more.

My first one was up so high I could stick my fingernail under it without moving it -- from the factory.

I'd say just pull it up

Re: The real reason the left side rocker sticks up

Hmm......I applied glue to the plastic covering the LCD screen, it was slightly raised and would bug the crap out of me. I lifted it up with my nail and shoved some krazy glue under there and it's been cool ever since
