Bluetooth headset and music
 

I was wondering if a BT headset (used for calls) can be used for music like radio or mp3's etc. I think that this would be great.

Has this been done?

Or you could get a headset with A2DP support. I use a jabra bt8010, which allows for both calls and media, and has the added advantage of having an attachable second earpiece for listening to stereo.

I use a Motorola S9-HD all day at work for both stereo BT music & hands-free phone calls.

When a call comes in, it automatically mutes the music & turns into a hands free speaker phone.

I have been wanting to post his for a while and this is the perfect thread, the BT audio program mentioned in post 2 works great but, the volume is really really low compared to normal voice (even with volume all the way up) and the quality is really poor. Is this a trade off for not having native A2DP support or something else?

ok got it working...kinda. You start the music (either radio or mp3) and it starts to play on the BT but then after about 15 seconds it stops on the BT and goes back to the phone. Am I doing something wrong or is it the BT or the phone?

OK figured it out...under voice commands, I turned off media and all is well!

i use my motorola s805 Dj headphones.....noice canceling and wind cancellation they work great loud clear just make sure u dont use any audio programs on ur phone that turn up the volume like audioboost

A lot of that depends on what headset you use.

The volume & sound quality is excellent with my Motorola S9-HD.

When I use my Motorola 820 however, the quality is fine but I get nowhere near the volume I get with the S9 for some reason.
