Blinking ring?

I have a Sprint Touch Pro, and right now my white ring is blinking once about every 15 seconds. I'm probably an idiot, but I can't figure out what it means. The phone is not charging or connected. What gives?

you either have a text, email, pic mail alert, missed call, a program running.

You have a email, text, picture mail

OK - it seems to maybe have been e-mail? Although I didn't have the new email indicator showing, pulling up an e-mail seems to have made it go away.

2 questions:
1. Is there a list of what events cause a notification with the ring?
2. Where do we configure these?

Counter-clockwise rotation (twice) = Text, missed call, picture mail
Top and bottom flashing twice rapidly every 5 seconds or so = e-mail

Whole ring flashing once every 5 (or 10) seconds = Low battery

I think that's it.

Edit: It's not configurable, you can't change it. It's managed by the hardware instead of by Windows

Kind of like the keyboard backlight timer.
