not gonna say how or where i got XT from but i can tell you it does work with the internal GPS. if you dont set up where the GPS is it will look for one but sometimes it doesnt see the internal chip so you either have to use another program to fire up the chip or change the settings. since i upgraded to the newest 5.xx i havent had to use any programs to warm up the internal GPS. XT runs fine on the TP but the zoom and icons just dont look/do right.

Garmin Xt works on my Touch Pro also and looks fine/normal. I just used the same folder I had on my Mogul. Copied it over to the T Pro and installed it and it works fine on Com 4. I dig the little monster truck icon. Brings out the white trash in me.

im using the same SD card and installed the same way. let me fire it up and take a screen shot then you can see what im talking about. think i will uninstall and reinstall and see what happens.

long time tomtom nav user, just installed garmin and i gotta say besides the better gui, what a POS! soooo slow, gotta actually read the directions, takes forever to render maps lol WTF! only reason i'm keeping it on my sd card is the no need for the radio to be on to get a gps lock a la tomtom.

are you really running it on a TOUCH? there's the reason for your slowness...aside from the mental variety...
