NOT the same thing. BB connect is only for BES email and has been out for a while. BB application suite is pretty much a simulator for BB OS. Like the link shows.

This has been confirmed to only work on GSM Touch Pro's :-(

the link does say its for the fuze though so most likely just gsm

I think it would be a lot easier to bash your phone on a rock if you are looking to handicap the thing intentionally.
