TP screen defect? "oily" appearance

So I have TP.. its in perfect condition, never been mishandled.. two days ago my screen started looking different.. it looks like theres a puddle of some oily liquid over it, only that oil is in a perfect rectangle directly over the screen.. the pattern changes with the angle youre holding the phone at and its visible with or without the backlight on.

so... has this happened to anyone else? will sprint replace it? im confused/annoyed.

Yes this is a known defect. Take it back to sprint they should replace it.

I should have added something like 'Greasy face syndrome due to consuming too much mexican food'... "Known Issue"

:)

It happened to me when i didnt have a screen protector on my phone. When i did have one on i didnt have an issue but as soon as i took it off i noticed it, took maybe a few days but thats when it started collecting. Like others have stated its from the oil in your skin touching/collecting on your TP

Is this known defect something Sprint will replace on the spot even outside the 30 Days? I have started to notice this on my TP in the last couple of weeks and I've had the Phone for months now...
