Contacts backup messaging

I took a contacts only backup from my Mogul and restored it on a Touch Pro glad that all the info is there but when I send.recieve a txt it shows the "number" not the person's name and "1" is not being added is there afix to this or something?

delete all your existing text messages. reset the phone. wa la!

as for your "1" question.. i have nooo idea
