Official AOL email app for TP?

Is there an official AOL mail app released by AOL or sprint that will work on the Touch Pro?

Thanks. Since I only would use it for mail, when you click on the MAIl icon, does it have the mail go directly through the app, or does it just take you to aol.com in your browser?

I'm not trying to hijack the thread or diminish the OP's request, but I am curious as to why you are looking for a standalone app for your aol email? I use mine through the standard pocket outlook setup. It works fine for me...is there some benefit to the standalone app that I don't know about?

Yea I have 2 aol email accounts on my phone with the standard email tab.....
Its easy to set up and the envelope animation is cool... dont see a reason for an app.....

Well,

I use the standalone AOL desktop software when I am at home, and I use aol.com when I am at people's houses. When I am out and about, I use pocket outlook on my Touch.

Yes, pocket outlook works fine, however, the email that I send and respond to on my phone WILL NOT show up in the sent mail on the AOL desktop software - only on aol.com

So, it causes me to switch constantly between the software and aol.com when I need to retrieve an old message.

That's the main reason - I like to keep a copy in my sent folder on my desktop version...

Hey all,

Yea, it seems that with this app, the email button just takes you to wap.aol.com.....bummer.

There was an AOL beta out a few months ago called myaol beta or something that was an actual email server app - but it sucked at the time... i'll have to look for that again...
