internet browser opening up in sleep mode

I don't know if anyone else has this issue. With my TP, even in sleep mode, internet broweser (opera) opens up on its own. So when I turn it back on, the internet homepage is loaded. i think this is using up my battery. Do I have wrong settings? Can I change this? or maybe my TP is possessed!
