Anyone with a Jan built phone that freezes up??? Please advise...

Many or some may know my story already and I am at the point where I am so fed up... but I will TRY to be patient before I throw this thing at HTC.

I have a 1/9/09 built phone with ROM date of 11/11/08 from BB. The phone has froze up on me twice since tuesday.
1. Once it was after making a phone call, and all of a sudden it freezes on the dial pad. I soft reset the phone and it seemed to solve the problem.
2. Then while I was using the internet on it, the TF3D didn't work ONLY when using the internet, but when I exited the internet it worked fine. What I meant when TF3D didn't work was that when i panned it just kept HIGHLIGHTING the words. Anyone know what is going on? I did a hard reset using the "clear storage method".
3. The second freeze which was this morning was while I was charging the phone overnight. I woke up to a solid white ring and black screen. I just soft reset the thing.

Can anyone advise?? Are my troubles and problems a sign that this phone is just to powerful for me??? argh...

thanks in advance

Every WM phone freezes, that's just the nature of the beast we deal with. Though I must say I've never had my rings light up solid white. It's always either blank, spinning, or going up during charging.

Also after a while on the TP you learn that fat finger movements typically equal swipes and sharp fingernail/stylus movements lead to highlighting. Not sure if that was the problem, or if TF3D really is just being evil. Also I hear that a button based hard reset is better because clear storage can leave some behind. I don't know where I read it, but all the hard resets I do I use the buttons.

i am really hesitant to take it in since i just FINALLY got a more later build phone. I am somewhat pissed. I can deal with a soft reset 1-2 times a year but in 2 days... wow...

i never had a wm so maybe i am just picky... but yes i had a solid ring. there was a similar post awhile back that had the same issue about it freezing up and it had to due with unchecking a box.

anyone know???

The solid ring means your phone is fully charged. Am I the only one that ever does that?!

As far as the rest of the problems, if a hard reset didn't fix it, your phone is probably screwed up. Unless there is some program you keep installing that might be causing it.

If you are within your 30 days, just return it to Best Buy. Bring your receipt and all your accessories. (Or most of them if you are good at sweet talking. ) And they should just switch em out for you with no problems.

You shouldn't be in the WM game. If you get this pissed about a couple soft resets, your going to go over yourself when the hard reset comes about. Cool down, it happens, its expected, if you worry yourself about an occasional reset, you aren't going to enjoy the phone itself-
