TP doesn't recognize correct typed characters

Hello,

Whenever I flip my keyboard out and search for a contact, it always messes up. For example: when I type "Reed" quickly, it will recognize "Rdee".

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? I have searched high and low but can't find anything. Many thanks!
